Qualified Motor Technician
Monaghans Galway require a Qualified Motor Technician to join our team in our valeting department. Monaghans Galway is a main dealer for Skoda, SEAT, VW and CUPRA located in Galway City.
The Role
To repair and service the range of Skoda/SEAT products in accordance with manufacturers work specifications, ensuring each customer receives excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified.
- Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
- Carry out diagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
- Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
- Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
- Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor and workshop foreman.
- Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) in line with HSO, warranty and dealer requirements.
- Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools.
Market leading remuneration package inclusive of monthly bonus.
VW group experience would be highly advantageous but not essential.

Car Valeter
Monaghans Galway require a Car Valeter to join our team in our valeting department. Monaghans Galway is a main dealer for Skoda, SEAT, VW and CUPRA located in Galway City.
The Role
You will be responsible for all aspects of vehicle cleaning/valeting. You will need to be committed to delivering the very best quality and standards, as well as being a reliable team player with a flexible approach to working within a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- To work as part of the valeting team, under the direction of the Valeting Manager.
- Full valeting training provided.
- Ensure that all work undertaken complies with dealership standards.
- Keep work areas clean, tidy and organised, and safe from hazards in accordance with health and safety guidelines
Key Competencies
- Experience in a similar role would be beneficial but not essential.
- To work well as part of a team.
- Must be hard-working and reliable.
